Birdy - Skinny Love
In 2008, at the age of 12, Birdy won a UK talent contest Open Mic UK, in the under 18s category. She performed her own song at the competition called Be Free, in front of 2,000 people. In 2011, at the age of 14, Birdy released a cover version of Bon Iver’s song “Skinny Love” which became her first hit in the UK charts. “Skinny Love” reached number 21 in the UK Singles Chart Top 40 on 24 April 2011.
